A recent study from the Institute for Ethics and Emerging Technologies (IEET) found that the AI community is in a great position to take a big step forward in 2017.
The study, entitled “AI: The Next Big Thing?”, looked at the state of AI research in 2017 and found that companies such as IBM, Facebook, Amazon and others were already developing AI platforms that could help them make decisions that are better for society.

The software platform is already being used to assist in healthcare and social media management.
It’s also a tool that can do a lot of other things besides just reading texts, like it can learn from past data and provide recommendations for new products and services.
“The AI platform will be able to do things like identify patterns, learn from data, understand human emotion, and use this data to make predictions,” Smith added.
“This technology will not only be able help us save lives, but will also help us make the world a better place.”
Watson is capable of analyzing a huge amount of data from social media, medical data and other sources and it can answer questions such as, “Who died at the beach?”
In the future, AI will likely take on a lot more roles than just reading text, but Watson’s capabilities could help the AI platform make a bigger impact.
A spokesperson for IBM told Mashable that Watson is one of many AI platforms being developed.
IBM Watson has “many applications in healthcare, education and consumer services,” according to the company.
Watson can also learn from large data sets, analyze complex data and even answer questions that have never been asked before.
Watson also has a “tremendous ability to learn from and understand other AI platforms, including artificial intelligence software, machine learning and artificial intelligence platforms.”
This could mean that the company’s Watson could be used to help develop new products or services for people, and could help guide the company towards the goal of a universal AI platform.
